A post on the department’s CrimeWatch page about the sale showed Tor, the Derry Township K-9 officer, surrounded by his stuffed lookalikes. The stuffed puppies are being sold for $12. Derry Township police will use the proceeds to buy new digital forensics equipment that help officers investigate internet crimes against children.“O.U.R.
K9 Tor is very good at what he does and has uncovered many devices during the searches he has been involved in.” Derry Township police received 250 stuffed pups, and they will be on sale while supplies last. The puppies can be picked up at the Derry Township Police Department reception desk. Interested buyers can also email Officer Kevin Leiss atPolice said, “You can have your very own K9 Tor and help us find and prosecute those who are responsible for and complicit in exploiting and harming children.”
