It found that while there were several hundred successful claims after the initial wave in March and April of 2020, the number subsequently fell to fewer than 10 per month, and spiked into the double digits only after the alpha and omicron waves.
There is no question that many people experiencing long COVID are struggling, both with symptoms and with a medical community that often fails to properly treat them. There are patients describing debilitating fatigue and neuropsychiatric symptoms today, just as there were in 2020; they are still expressing a sense of frustration at the lack of answers they’re getting from doctors.
