One of the most beloved sitcoms in recent years, The Office ran on NBC from 2005 to 2013, spanning nine seasons and 201 episodes. Over that time, the mockumentary sitcom featured several unforgettable cold opens, one of the most iconic being the parkour scene that started the season 6 premiere, "Gossip.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Now, The Office has released an extended version of the iconic parkour scene on its official YouTube channel: The extended version of the open cold features a few extra scenes not seen in the original episode, including Michael gingerly ramming into the elevator doors, Michael and Dwight attempting parkour while running down a hallway, and Andy riding a giant tire, capped off by the three taking a breather in the break room, much to Stanley's dismay.
Perhaps The Office's most impactful cold open scene is Kevin's famous chili during season 5, episode 26, "Casual Friday." The mere one-minute scene sees the slow-witted accountant describe his chili-making process before tragically spilling an entire pot on the office floor. The scene is equal parts hilarious and heartbreaking.
The parkour scene remains one of The Office's most famous cold opens from later in its run, despite season 6 being filled with memorable opening scenes. This includes Jim and Pam learning Morse code to send Dwight into paranoia and an office safety meeting that devolves into a discussion about the most efficient way to kill Bin Laden, Hitler, and Toby at once.
