The V12 Vantage is limited to just 333 examples globally, and the order book is already closed.
Signalling that there will be no further Vantage models powered by V12 engines, Moers added: “Now it is time to bring this bloodline to a close, fittingly with the most spectacular example yet – the fastest, most powerful and most dynamically capable V12 Vantage ever.”As well as the aforementioned carbon items, weight-saving stretches to carbon front fenders and side sills, plus a composite rear bumper and deck lid, lightweight battery and unique, centrally-mounted, twin-exit exhaust.
Also new is a unique transmission calibration to enhance shift speeds, while the suspension features a new adaptive damping system comprising new anti-roll bars, bushes, and spring and damper assemblies. The suspension is stiffer all round, but with a secondary tender spring added to the rear in a bid to maintain driver comfort.
The V12 Vantage also gains a choice of two new designs of 21-inch alloy wheel, offered in satin black or satin black diamond turned. There’s also an optional lightweight wheel, also in satin black, that saves an additional 18 pounds.The rear wing and carbon aero pack produces almost 250 pounds of downforce at the car’s 200mph top speed – so in reality is something to behold through the driver’s eyes rather than the seat of their pants.
Inside, the V12 Vantage gains a new carbon fiber seat with exposed fibre shell, while a seat with manual six-way adjustment is available as an option. Aston Martin has not said publicly how much the V12 Vantage costs – but then again, with all 333 examples spoken for, there is arguably no need to. Deliveries of those cars is scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2022.
