The late conductor’s Sands Point property, last asking $7.5 million, includes a 6,000-square-foot main house built in 1907 and a two-bedroom gatehouse.

. It was last asking $7.5 million — down from its original 2019 ask of $9.85 million.

Born in 1854, Sousa was known for the military marches he created including “The Stars and Stripes Forever” and “Semper Fidelis” before his death at age 77 in 1932. He created much of his composing at this waterfront estate known as Wildbank. He also served as Leader of the Marine Band under five US Presidents, from 1880 to 1892.

The property, at 12 Hicks Lane, is now recognized as a National Historic Landmark. It sits on 2.6 acres and comes with its own deepwater dock, private beach, gardens and views from the water to the Manhattan skyline.The Hicks Lane property includes a private dock.There’s 6,000 square feet of living space inside the main house.There are six bedrooms in the main home, another two in the gatehouse.
