At this time there are no plans for any heat advisories to be in effect Friday through the weekend. High will still be around 100 on Friday with an afternoon heat index of 104, but even those numbers will be decreasing this weekend.
Saturday and Sunday are expected to top out in the mid to upper 90s. In addition, rain chances are set to return Sunday and early next week. Rain/storm chances are more likely to be isolated rather than widespread and long-lasting. Even still, some outdoor plans for the Fourth of July may need to be adjusted next Tuesday. Right now it’s a low chance, so check back for more details as we get closer.
