The Flash's new trailer contains some very epic callbacks to Man of Steel, though it makes the apparent absence of Henry Cavill's Superman even worse.
The second trailer for The Flash features even more recreations and references to past DC movies just like the first trailer. As such, it's become even more odd that Henry Cavill's cameo as Superman was reportedly removed from the final cut. Cavill's absence is even more tragic considering the fact that all the callbacks look like they've been handled really well.

Not only is Michael Shannon's General Zod returning thanks to Barry Allen inadvertently altering reality, his terraforming war machine known as the Black Zero is featured in both trailers, warping gravity and causing massive destruction in its wake.
