The Flash was heralded as one of the best movies in the DCEU, but its opening weekend looks like a total box office flop. Despite marketing that focused heavily on the rave reviews the movie was receiving from early critic and fan screenings, and even a number of big name celebrities like Tom Cruise and Stephen King heaped praise on the movie, but now that the movie is actually here, its Rotten Tomatoes score is plummeting and its opening weekend box office is one of the worst in the DCEU.
How Much Will The Flash Make at the Box Office? The first Shazam! movie opened slightly lower than The Flash with $53.5 million and went on to earn $140.4 million domestically and an additional $225.6 million internationally for a worldwide total of $366 million. The Flash's reviews aren't nearly as positive as Shazam!'s, so it's doubtful it will make even that much, but with a budget around $220 million, The Flash needs to earn around $440 million to break-even.
