The Colts have a plan to rotate at left tackle with Matt Pryor and Bernhard Raimann. It's an ongoing process to find a solution at a critical spot.

Matt Pryor and Bernhard Raimann both got to see action at the Colts' blindside protection spot in Sunday's 20-20 season-opening overtime tie with the Texans. Pryor started the game and played 80 of the 92 snaps. Raimann subbed in for 12 snaps at left tackle in addition to the four he saw as an extra offensive lineman.

“The plan was Matt would play most of the game and that we would rotate in there a couple series here and there," Reich said."That will likely continue to be the plan. That’s kind of what we said at the beginning of the year. As we sat down as a coaching staff, I sat down with Chris and said, 'Bernie has done enough to show us that we trust him being in there.' We think it’s meaningful for him to get game reps.

By Week 1, the Colts had grown comfortable enough with Raimann to devise a plan to get both of them some work. Raimann checked in early as an extra offensive lineman for some schemed-up run plays. He worked in at left tackle in the second half, only for Pryor to come back in after that. "I thought Matt looked good in the game," Reich said."Matt graded out pretty high in the game. I thought Bernie also did pretty well. So, we’ll continue to rotate those guys. The amount will be a week-to-week decision.”
