TheBoys uses BlackNoir to mock Twitter's latest blue check verification changes, with Vought using the confusion to refute claims of his death.

The social media team behind Amazon’s hit series The Boys has been quick to lampoon Twitter’s latest change to the platform’s Blue Check verification badges. Elon Musk, who had previously bought the social media giant in October last year, revealed that the platform would finally be pushing ahead with controversial plans to remove previously assigned account verification badges for users who had not subscribed to the paid Twitter Blue scheme.

Suggesting that the verification mark for the show’s Black Noir account was removed during this process, the fictional corporation took the opportunity to debunk “rumors” that Black Noir had died during the events of The Boys season 3. Making the post more ironic, the Vought International parody account later saw its own gold check verification removed as well.
