The Boys imagines a world where Butcher and Homelander decide to co-parent Ryan with a behind-the-scenes photo from season 3. Based on Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson’s comic, The Boys, Prime Video’s satirical “supe” show follows its eponymous vigilante group. The team was founded by Billy Butcher and the Deputy Director of the CIA after the psychopathic Superman, Homelander , assaulted Butcher's wife before her disappearance.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY After living in secret under the protection of Vought, Becca was reunited with Butcher and Homelander in The Boys season 2. Unfortunately, the maniacal whims of Homelander and Stormfront resulted in Ryan accidentally killing his mother in the season 2 finale. In her final moments, Becca made Butcher promise to look after Ryan and make sure he knows her death wasn’t his fault.

Given this, even a similar version of the above scenario will likely never come to pass.
At the end of The Boys season 3, Homelander introduces Ryan to his fanatic supporters. When a pro-Starlight protester hits Ryan with a can, Homelander uses his heat vision to murder the man in public. Rather than panic or object, Todd and the rest of his fans cheer as Homelander realizes that he really can do whatever he wants. What’s worse, however, is the final shot of a smile on Ryan’s face.
