The only good thing to rise from 'Battlefield Earth' are the epic takedowns by its critics.
The Big Picture For a film to be declared the "worst sci-fi movie ever," it really has to suck. Suck so bad that even Plan 9 From Outer Space looks like Citizen Kane in comparison. Does such a movie exist? People, I give to you Battlefield Earth. Yes, it has a rocking 3% on Rotten Tomatoes, somehow. Perhaps actor John Travolta, who funneled millions into the project, set some money aside for paid reviews. Pure speculation, of course.
