Morgan, who issued just one walk with one strikeout, said she was ready to throw more. “But it felt good to be out on the mound, and I’m gonna be rested for the next two days,” she added after picking up her 17th win of the season.Freshman shortstop Viviana Martinez looked comfortable enough at the plate that those who didn’t know any better would think she was part of last year’s national runner-up team rather than an NCAA Tournament rookie.
