The DOJ is investigating Texas’ 'Operation Lone Star' border security initiative for potential civil rights violations, according to a letter obtained by ABC News.

The DOJ is seeking information to determine whether Texas DPS is in compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
