A 17-year-old boy was shot Saturday night while he was walking with another teen in West Oakland, authorities said.
The boy was shot in the buttocks about 10:11 p.m. Saturday in the 700 block of 32nd Street near Martin Luther King Jr. Way, authorities said. He was taken to a hospital and is expected to live. The other youth was not injured.
Police said a car drove by the two youths and stopped before one of the occupants got out and began shooting at them.The youths ran to a nearby location where a relative of the 17-year-old drove them to a hospital, authorities said.
