UPDATE: Glendale PD says a 15-year-old boy died in yesterday's crash on Grand Ave. Three teens remain hospitalized.
GLENDALE — A teen boy is dead and three other teens are hospitalized after a crash on Grand Avenue Thursday.During an investigation police learned a blue Infiniti G35 was traveling at a speed above the posted speed limit when the driver lost control.
Police say while traveling northwest on Grand Avenue an unknown vehicle made a left turn from southwest Grand Avenue onto 53rd Avenue. The driver of the Infiniti swerved to avoid hitting the other vehicle and spun out of control, striking a curb. The vehicle rolled and three of the four people inside the vehicle were ejected, according to police.
The driver, an unlicensed 17-year-old boy, and two 16-year-old girls were taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.Police say impairment is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
