TCU head coach Sonny Dykes has been named the Walter Camp National Coach of the Year
head coach Sonny Dykes said "a new season" is beginning for the Horned Frogs after the Big 12 Championship loss.— Charles Baggarly In 2021, the Frogs finished the season with a 5-7 record. One year later, TCU is 12-1 and will compete for a National Championship.
The Frogs were projected to finish seventh in the Big 12 Preseason Poll. Dykes and the team didn’t listen to the outside noise. Instead, they focused on executing the game plan and doing their jobs. OL Steve Avila said the team holds all players to the same standard and the depth chart doesn't matter.Dykes, succeeding the legendary Gary Patterson, had huge expectations in Fort Worth. He delivered and then some, coaching the Frogs to the CFP.
