Presale tickets to “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” made more than $37 million within 24 hours of going on sale on Aug. 31.
Taylor Swift’s “Cruel Summer” will turn into a splendid windfall for theater owners.
The massive presale sum is already within shouting distance of the $73 million — in total domestic sales — earned by 2011’s “Justin Bieber: Never Say Never,” which holds the record for the top-grossing concert film. In true Swift spirit, the hidden-message-loving singer has priced the tickets at $19.89 for adults and $13.13 for children and seniors for showings at AMC theaters — a nod to her album titled “1989” and her lucky number 13.
