Screen Rant spoke with the brilliant stars as well as the genius directors, writers, and producers of SpiderManAcrossTheSpiderVerse premiere. Check out what Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Issa Rae, and more had to say!

The long-awaited sequel, Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse, is finally here, and it is being lauded as bigger and better than the acclaimed Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse. In the sequel, Miles is the sole Spider-Man on his Earth after defeating Kingpin with his friends from other universes. When a new multiverse threat appears, Miles meets a group of Spider-Heroes who have taken it upon themselves to protect the multiverse.

Chris Miller: Each world that we visited, we wanted it to feel like a completely different art style and a completely different animation style. Like you were walking into a different painting by a different artist, and were surrounded by it. So that was really hard from an R&D standpoint, and from an artistic standpoint, but it was a really exciting challenge for everybody. It allowed you to visit worlds in a way, cinematically, that you've never seen before.

Hailee Steinfeld: It was awful. I much prefer it the other way. No, it was incredible and as you can imagine it made the world's difference to be in person as opposed to reading with our wonderful directors. Shameik and I always joke about how it's a lot easier to be Gwen and Miles with Gwen and Miles.

Hailee Steinfeld: Get it together! Stay focused, move quick, and don't forget to have fun of course. Shameik Moore: Maybe Gwen's Spider-Verse. She's not hiding from anything and I think that's so cool. She has a badass motorcycle that she kicks ass on and she's pregnant. Which is an arc that kind of blew me initially. I was like, "What?" And then the more I sat with it and played her. I just felt honored to take that on. Brian Tyree Henry: Yes. Oh, yes. The first time Spider-Man to Jefferson was a menace. He couldn't understand what was going on.
