Officials said a man shot at an LAPD patrol car in the Pico-Union area Sunday, before he was chased down.
The LAPD said that officers were driving in their patrol car along Pico Boulevard when the suspect started shooting at them. Images from SkyFOX showed an LAPD car with what appeared to be bullet holes in the windshield, but no officers were hit.
The gunman then ran, police said, and officers chased him. Officers eventually caught up to the suspect, and that's when officers shot him.The suspect was taken into custody and brought to the hospital, where LAPD said he was listed in stable condition. City News Service contributed to this report.
