The male suspect escaped with cash after robbing the Dollar General store in the Kenmore neighborhood, Akron police say.

Police were called to the Dollar General on the 1500 block of South Main Street at about 6 p.m. Monday. Officers say they were met by a 19-year-old clerk who was “visibly shaken” by the robbery.
