The Harris County Pct. 4 Constable’s Office identified on Monday the man accused of assaulting a deputy inside Splashtown and bringing a gun into the water park.– According to Constable Mark Herman, deputies received reports of a man who allegedly bypassed the metal detectors at the waterpark and brought a backpack with a gun inside the waterpark on Saturday afternoon
At some point, when deputies arrived at the water park, they attempted to arrest Hunter when he allegedly assaulted one of the deputies. Both the deputy and Hunter were taken to an area hospital. The deputy was sent home, and the suspect was later taken to Harris County Jail for processing. The extent of their injuries is not known as of this writing. No guests or deputies were hurt inside Splashtown.Hunter was charged with felony assault on a peace officer and possession of a weapon where prohibited. His bond was set at $500 for the possession of a weapon charge, but his other bond has not been determined yet.
