About 3:15 a.m. Aug. 20, Manzano was in an SUV with another person when a vehicle attempted to drive around them at a traffic light in the 2300 block of Pacific Avenue, police wrote in an arrest-warrant affidavit. The SUV drove off while the victim’s brother stopped and asked people on the street to call 911, the affidavit says. Lopez was taken to a hospital, where he died.
