BREAKING: Ford announces their return to F1 in 2026! 🏁 Ford hasn’t had an F1 presence since 2004, but company CEO jimfarley98 says the Blue Oval will use F1 competition to improve the EVs it sells in real life.

"We are starting now. In Formula 1 to be competitive, the powertrains, you need to be developing that '26 motor now, and the hybrid system, all the software controls," he said."And I think we need to learn now, because believe it or not we're off-cycle for our product development for our EVs. That's an advantage for us—we're actually designing our second cycle of EVs right now.
"And Red Bull … we don't want to go to Formula 1 and wait 10 years. We want to be a top-tier brand from Day 1. This powertrain technical relationship gives us that. And [customers] will absolutely see this apply to their software updates in their vehicle as well as aero in our [production] vehicles. And frankly I bet we're going to learn a lot more about materials and other things from this technical exchange.
