The Flash discovers Superman’s ultimate fate when he journeys to the DC Universe’s future, revealing the terrible tragedy awaiting Clark Kent.

Unfortunately for Superman, his ultimate destiny is harsher than anyone ever imagined. A glimpse into the future reveals the tragic days ahead for the Man of Steel.

For years, Clark Kent has been keeping the DC Universe safe under the guise of his powerful alter ego, Superman. As a Kryptonian, he's been blessed with an amazing array of powers that make him the most formidable force for good around. However, such godlike power has a few drawbacks. Nearly everything about Clark is enhanced under the Earth's yellow sun, from his incredibly powerful vision to his super-hearing that keys him into trouble all across the globe.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Superman Will Live Long Enough to See Earth Die But the Last Son of Krypton's longevity is much darker than fans think. In The Flash #141 by Pop Mhan, and Joshua Hood, Wally West is being pursued by the Black Flash, the grim reaper of speedsters. While Wally's allies in the Flash Family try to keep him safe and fight back against the manifestation of death, Wally decides to take care of the ghoul himself.

Though not named, Wally is clearly referencing Superman, whose costume notably includes such boots. Clark has been depicted as living well past most of his allies in stories such as Kingdom Come and DC One Million. But a two billion-year-old Superman is one of the oldest takes on the hero yet. But what's tragic about Clark's fate is that he's cursed to stand by helplessly as everything he cares about withers and dies.

Superman Losing Earth is Worse Than Krypton's Death Clark was only days old when his birth home was destroyed. But while he was born out of tragedy, Superman found a home for himself on Earth. Clark had no personal connection to Krypton, and he's not that sad that it's gone. But Clark is going to have a front-row ticket to the death of his adopted world, and that's going to hit him harder than any villain he's ever faced.
