The three additions join the Akron Art Museum, Akron Children’s Museum, Akron Zoo, Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens, and Summit County Historical Society to bring the total number of attractions in the program to eight.
AKRON, Ohio – Summit County’s Museums for All, a program that offers community members with U.S. government-issued Electronic Benefits Transfer cards discounted admissions to area museums and attractions, now includes three more attractions: Hower House, Hale Farm & Village, and Cummings Center for the History of Psychology.
The additions bring the total number of attractions in the program to eight; the Akron Art Museum, Akron Children’s Museum, Akron Zoo, Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens, and Summit County Historical Society joined the program in 2018. The Summit County program is part of a national initiative launched by the Institute of Museum and Library Services in partnership with the Association of Children’s Museums in 2014. The effort aims to increase museum visits among individuals with financial need.Admission fees range from $1-$3, and community members must present their government-issued EBT cards to receive the discounted admission.
