Amazon Prime Video has added two recurring characters to The Summer I Turned Pretty season 2. The streaming service debuted its coming-of-age teen rom-com series in June 2022, based on the Jenny Han book series of the same name. The series follows Isabel "Belly" Conklin as she navigates the difficulties that come with summer crushes, especially when she finds herself in the middle of a love triangle.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY According to THR, Prime Video has added Kyra Sedgwick and Elsie Fisher to portray two yet-to-be-named recurring characters on The Summer I Turned Pretty season 2. Details about their characters remain under wraps.Sedgwick is best known for her role as Brenda Leigh Johnson on TNT's The Closer. More recently, the actor has had recurring roles in TV series like Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Call Your Mother.
Sedgwick and Fisher join the already-cemented cast which includes Jackie Chung, Rachel Blanchard, Sean Kaufman, Alfredo Narciso, Minnie Mills, Colin Ferguson, and Tom Everett Scott. Prime Video has already begun production on season 2 of The Summer I Turned Pretty, so it shouldn't be long for viewers to get better acquainted with the two new characters heading down to Cousins Beach.
