Danny Thain who lost close friends to suicide is spending a month on the streets to raise money.
Mr Thain wants his challenge to encourage people to be more open so they can begin conversations about mental health issues."I've probably had around 30-plus people who have shared stories with me," he said."There have been people who have attempted suicide, contemplated suicide, or have experienced suicide and have felt that this is a safe place to come down and actually share their story with me and it's just been absolutely monumental.
Mr Thain's World Suicide Prevention Project aims to open a 16-bedroom 300-acre site which would provide professional support."I've got my eyes on an estate," he said. "This is something that's not been done. It's professional in every single aspect of the healing process. It's not a virtual setting and not a waiting list.
Speaking about sleeping rough in recent weeks, he said: "In any given day I've got no food, no money, no shelter, no water, I've got to find all those things. That's a mental strain."
