The production start on the upcoming Stranger Things Season 5 has been delayed due to the ongoing WGA strike.
is created and executive produced by Matt and Ross Duffer, who also serve as showrunners. It currently stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer, Joe Keery, Charlie Heaton, Sadie Sink, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, Cara Buono, and Brett Gelman.
The series is set in the 1980s in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana. When a young boy vanishes, a small town uncovers a mystery involving secret experiments, terrifying supernatural forces, and one strange little girl. Season 4 also introduced a number of new fan-favorite character characters, including Eddie Munson, Vecna, Argyle, Enzo, Chrissy, and Vickie, who are respectively portrayed by Joseph Quinn, Jamie Campbell Bower, Eduardo Franco, Tom Wlaschiha, Grace Van Dien, and Amybeth McNulty.
Executive producers are Shawn Levy, Dan Cohen, and Iain Patterson. Besides the upcoming final season, Netflix is also developing an anime series set within the show’s universe which will reportedly be set in Tokyo.
