Star Trek on Paramount+ released a new clip from Star Trek: Discovery season 5 at the Star Trek Universe San Diego Comic-Con Hall H panel. The clip sees Burnham meeting two of Discovery season 5's new characters, Moll and L'ak before being launched into outer space action. Check out the clip below:
Star Trek: Discovery Season 5 Introduces New Characters & Puts Captain Burnham Back In Action Along with Moll and L'ak, the new clip from Star Trek: Discovery season 5 also debuts the voice of Captain Rayner played by Callum Keith Rennie. Rayner is another new character in Discovery season 5, but it's unclear whether the Starfleet Captain will be an ally or antagonist to Captain Burnham.
The last time footage of Star Trek: Discovery season 5 was released was at New York Comic-Con back in October 2022. It's possible Paramount+ may release a new Discovery season 5 trailer timed to Star Trek Day in September. Originally, Paramount+ intended for multiple events with the cast and creatives to build hype for Discovery's final season, but the WGA and SAG-AFRTA strikes have halted the promotion and production of TV and movies.
