invites the community to “laissez les bons temps rouler” — “let the good times roll” — from 5 to 7 p.m. on Feb. 21.The family friendly celebration will feature several Cajun dishes including Gumbo Xpress food truck gumbo,Organizers recommend guests bring blankets to sit and enjoy live jazz music by Holliman’s New Orleans.City Place offers a combination of free and ticketed events throughout the year.

“Our tree lighting ceremony last year had over 3,000 people, which was a lot of fun and super cool to see,” Marquez said. “When we first started doing these events, it was a little more small-scale, but to see it really grow over the past four or five years… been really cool and it's super exciting to see.”

it looks forward to hosting over 300 events this year, including its next big HTX Whiskey Weekend event that is set to kick off April 28. This two-day event will be filled with several activities, seminars, and dinner.
