Fernando Torres Lopez, who was convicted of Santa Clara County gang crimes, allegedly attacked a Monterey County man also imprisoned for gang crimes.
CRESCENT CITY — A man convicted in Santa Clara County being held at Pelican Bay State Prison has been accused of killing another inmate at the correctional facility, according to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.
The man, identified as Uriel Otero, died from his injuries. Soon after, 23-year-old Fernando Torres Lopez was identified as the attack suspect.
