SLC Mayor Erin Mendenhall's proposed fiscal 2024 budget includes funding for a new program that would reimburse city employees for a variety of products and services, including out-of-state travel for abortions.
Mayor Erin Mendenhall’s plan also would offer city employees up to $500 for a swath of products and services, including ski passes, student loans and gym memberships.
“We created this policy really based on our own employees’ needs,” Mendenhall said in an interview, “and wanting to ensure that they can provide for whatever their family’s unique needs are.”
