Shots were fired Wednesday morning near Melrose Elementary School in Harrisburg’s Allison Hill neighborhood, police said. No victims or suspects were identified, but police said spent shell casings were found at Shellis and Ice streets. Melrose Elementary is on the 2000 block of Berryhill Street.Police said officers checked with the Harrisburg School District to make sure students and staff were safe.
