was critically injured when an armed suspect shot him in the torso Wednesday morning, officials said. Lt. Matthew Barajas, criminal investigations division commander at the San Leandro Police Department, said that the unnamed guard had been carrying an undisclosed amount of money at about 11:40 a.m. when the"robbery gone bad" took place. An armored car was at the hospital, but the events leading up to the shooting are still unclear. Following the incident, the guard was taken to a nearby hospital and treated for serious injuries.
