Sheriff's deputies shoot man in Fallbrook [Breaking]
Deputies shot a man in a Fallbrook home early Friday morning, a sheriff’s watch commander said.
Just after 1 a.m., a person called 911 to report an argument with her husband, sheriff’s Lt. Gavin Lanning said. Deputies arrived at the property, on White Lilac Road east of Interstate 15, and found the man, but he refused to come out of a room inside. It is unclear what happened next, but just after 1:20 a.m., deputies reported they had opened fire on the man.San Diego police Lt. Steve Shebloski told Fox 5 there were two children, ages 5 and 9, in the home at the time of the shooting.
As part of a reciprocal agreement to prevent departments from investigating themselves, San Diego police handle the investigation when sheriff’s deputies fire their weapons.
