According to the EPA, only vehicles that are designed to use E85 can use it for fuel. You can look up if your vehicle can use E85 atFlex Fuel Vehicles will normally have a yellow gas cap or a badge that says “Flex Fuel.” Vehicles that can’t use it might have an E85 prohibition sign

Unleaded 88, unlike E85, can be used in most vehicles built after 2001. So what is Unleaded 88? It’s essentially regularly gasoline but with more ethanol — a kind of alcohol made with corn and other plants that’s common in fuel. The most common mix is 10% ethanol to 90% gasoline. But Unleaded 88 has 15% ethanol.
