Anthony Reyes, in his 20th season in the Giants’ organization, earned a spot in Seattle for the All-Star Game next month.
In his 12th season on the Giants’ training staff and his 20th in the organization, Reyes started as an intern in 2004 and worked seven seasons for San Francisco’s minor league affiliates before joining Dave Groeschner’s staff with the major-league club in 2012.
He has been kept busy in the first half of this season. The Giants currently have the fifth-most players on the injured list and have lost a combined 649 player games due to injury this season, 15th in the majors, according to Baseball Prospectus.
