While the exact age of the tree is unknown, it is estimated to be between 60 and 75 years old, city spokesperson Laura Mayes said. The area where the tree fell is in the northernmost area of the park across from the conservancy office. Public access to that area had been blocked off “more than a year ago,” the city said.
