Senators called on officials from the PGA Tour, Saudi investment fund and LIV Golf to testify about the proposed PGA-LIV Golf deal
Top officials at the PGA Tour and the Saudi-backed LIV Golf have been invited to testify at a Senate hearing July 11 on the deal.
PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan, LIV Golf CEO Greg Norman and the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund's Yasir al-Rumayyan all received letters. Sen. Richard Blumenthal and Sen. Ron Johnson, the chairman and ranking member of the Senate Homeland Security Committee's permanent subcommittee on investigations, respectively, said the panel will hold a hearing July 11 on the merger.
