City and county property tax assessments will be combined starting Oct. 1.
SELMA, Ala. - Property tax collections will look different for property owners in the city of Selma.For example, if your city tax assessment is $200 and your county tax assessment is $400, you will pay a total of $600 all at once.“We experienced where property owners pay their county bill but didn’t pay the city bill or vice versa,” Roper said, “But they thought that they had paid their full property tax assessment.
Roper added that by combining the two together, real estate lawyers can “forecast your assessment properly”.or at the Dallas County Courthouse. New York City subway trains getting security camerasSecurity cameras, which are already ubiquitous on New York's streets, will soon be installed in all of the city's nearly 6,400 subway cars as officials work to rebuild riders' faith in the system's safety. The Metropolitan Transportation Authority plans to put two cameras in each train car in a project expected to take three years to complete, Gov. Kathy Hochul said Tuesday as she announced the effort at a rail yard in Queens. “That is our intent — to get the message out that we’re going to be having surveillance of activities on the subway trains and that is going to give people great peace of mind.”
