We Treaty People is a podcast series of audio dramas presented by Burnt Thicket Theatre. The plays, written by a diverse group of artists, explore the question: What does it mean to embrace all our relations? New episodes come out Fridays, alternating between plays and artist discussions. This week is the world première of Do You Remember, an audio play by Joelle Peters. Reunited by grief, childhood friends find old wounds strain the bonds they had built, despite a desire to reconnect.
Tickets are available at Sobeys on Eighth Street or Captain’s Den in Market Mall.Classically-trained Ukrainian-born violinist Vasyl Popadiuk is touring Canada with a benefit concert for the children of Ukraine. He performs alongside his five-member band, Papa Duke. All proceeds raised will be shared between two orphanages in Sumy, Ukraine. Popadiuk brings his show to TCU Place Friday at 7:30 p.m.
