Derrick Wayne Castille, 25, has been charged with capital murder in connection with the fatal shooting of James Blanton, 34, on Dec. 10, according to the Houston Police Department. Investigators found the homeowner heard a noise outside and noticed two people wearing masks in his backyard, according to Houston police. When he closed the front door and opened the garage door, the men came around the house and an argument began.Houston television station ABC13 reports Blanton was a former Prairie View A&M University football playerInvestigators are still seeking a third man for questioning in connection to the shooting, according to the Houston Police Department.
Anyone with information about Castille’s whereabouts, or the third man, should call the department’s homicide division at 713-308-3600, officials said.
