While Woolen touts the elite NFL frame and herculean athletic profile to boot, Witherspoon enters the fold as a much more refined cover man in comparison to the former wide receiver convert out of UTSA. While the NFL got cute on his evaluation coming out of school last spring, leading to Schneider grabbing him—unfathomably—on Day 3, the addition of Witherspoon will take the pressure off of the now second-year man’s shoulders to shut down a third of the field in coverage.
at the roof, Witherspoon has found himself in an awfully comfortable spot to succeed in waves early this fall.
