More than 40 years after Terry Fox began his iconic run in support of cancer research, the effort in his name continues.
Runners can register at 11 a.m. Sunday at the Delta Bessborough Gardens. A brief program of events will follow, including speakers and a warm-up for participants.
“It’s more about getting folks out, getting the community out and supporting cancer research in a big way,” Wood said. Wood said this year’s event is in good shape for volunteers, but he encourages anyone wanting to help out to contact the Saskatoon Terry Fox Committee on social media or by email.
