An officer with the San Marcos Police Department was arrested after he resigned days after he was accused of family violence.
The resignation came three days after the SMPD was notified by the Hays County Sheriff’s Office of a criminal accusation related to family violence against Lobo.
SMPD immediately placed Lobo on administrative leave and began a concurrent internal investigation while the HCSO conducted an independent criminal investigation. Lobo was arrested on charges of continuous violence against the family and injury to a child, the news release said.
