San Jose State Spartans’ defense collapses against SDSU
San Jose State’s strong defense caved against San Diego State, resulting in a 43-27 loss on the road on Saturday night.
Freshman Michael Dansby picked off SDSU quarterback Jalen Mayden to set up San Jose State’s second touchdown opportunity. Their 31-yard drive ended with Cordeiro’s three-yard touchdown scamper to put the Spartans up 14-0. But Mayden found Tyrell Shavers for a 66-yard for a touchdown to go up 17-14. Then a 16-play drive ending with Mekhi Shaw’s 17-yard touchdown catch gave SDSU a 24-14 lead.
