Cooling arrives just in time for Father's Day weekend.
Heading into Friday, temperatures are going to cool down, bringing mild conditions for the next couple of days.
A system to the north is going to bring cooler temperatures, a deepening marine layer and breezy winds in the mountains and deserts. Areas west of the mountains will feel the coolest temperatures Saturday, with mountains and deserts feeling the coolest temperatures Sunday. Temperatures drop anywhere from 10-20º during that time frame.
The marine layer will deepen as well, filling in west of the mountains overnight and lingering along the coast in the daytime. Father's Day starts a warming trend, with temperatures then gradually climbing into next week back to above-average conditions.
