Salem Hills and Spanish Fork took the game down to the last few minutes, but the Skyhawks emerged victorious in a 16-13 win.
SALEM — Salem Hills outlasted Spanish Fork just enough to take a nail-biting 16-13 win over the Dons Friday night in Salem.
After Spanish Fork's final touchdown, Salem Hills got the ball back with 2:47 left in the game. The Skyhawks failed to get anything positive on the drive, though, and were forced to punt the ball back to the Dons, which gave the visiting team a chance to win the game. Place-kicker Christian Millar missed the point-after attempt but later made up for it with a made 36-yard field goal to give Salem Hills a 9-0 lead.
