Ryan Seacrest has all the time in the world, so he returned to his old stomping grounds… or crawling grounds.
The former host joined current hosts Kelly Ripa, 52, and Mark Consuelos, 52, to promote the Season 21 “American Idol” finale, which airs on Sunday on ABC, and he revealed that since“I’ve got all kinds of time,” Seacrest said. “There’s this fascinating thing I’ve experienced called time. I don’t know if you guys know about it. The alarm chimes in the morning. It’s a soft nudge.”“I walk through the forest. The sun is about right here. I look for the beans of coffee. I harvest them,” he quipped.
“I have to say, I’ve been watching — you guys are so great. I love Mark doing the teases. I love the promos I see. I love the game,” Seacrest said. Ryan Seacrest asked Ripa and Consuelos to guess whether he “started an animal movement class” or if he’s “been studying dendrology, the study of trees” since leaving “Live.”Consuelos clapped back, saying that “the game has turned back into a game” since Seacrest’s departure, referring to his own habits of trying to stop the contestant from winning the prize, a show-branded mug.
While he very much moved like an animal all on his own, that statement was false. Seacrest revealed that he’s been studying trees. that he was leaving “Live With Kelly and Ryan” after six years as co-host of the daytime talk show, citing his desire to move to Los Angeles as a factor in his decision.Ryan Seacrest hopped like a frog on his way back.“This is something that [Kelly] and I have been talking about for a long time, and it was a tough, tough decision,” Seacrest stated at the time.
Consuelos took over, and the ABC program was rebranded as “Live with Kelly and Mark” on Monday, April 17.Ryan Seacrest returned to his old stomping grounds Thursday.“The only person I can think of that is capable of holding [Ryan’s] torch the way [he has] held it would be my husband, Mark Consuelos,” Ripa said.
